Description:

The City of Irvine, as a subgrantee of the County of Orange, has been awarded an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant in the amount of $66,563. The County of Orange will receive $12,647 of this grant to assist in administration and staffing costs associated with the Pro-Active Methamphetamine Laboratory Investigative Team (PROACT) project. The City is one of 17 municipal law enforcement agencies that participate in this program.

The City will use the remaining grant amount of $53,916 to retain a part-time Family Violence Victim Advocate. A portion of these funds have also resulted in the publication of the City’s enhanced Victim Resource Guide/Brochure that contains valuable information related to victim services, support and resources. Click here to view the City’s Victim Resource Guide/Brochure.
