Irvine World News Basketball Classic

The Irvine World News, the City of Irvine and the Irvine Unified
School District sponsor this pre-season holiday high school basketball tournament. This is a 16-team tournament with a consolation bracket. It features teams from the four Irvine high schools and other Orange County and surrounding area teams. Weeknight games are played at the high school gymnasiums. The finals are held on Saturday at Concordia University.

Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday prior to Christmas

Locations: Irvine, Northwood, University & Woodbridge high schools and Concordia University

Harvest Cup Soccer Tournament

This very popular tournament coordinated by the City, AYSO and the Irvine Unified School District has been offered to Irvine's youth for nearly a quarter century! This tournament features boys and girls teams from throughout the many Irvine schools. Teams are paired with 5/6th and 7/8th grade students. Up to 20 players on nearly 50 teams participate each year. More than 100 volunteers (coaches and officials) assist in offering this single elimination tournament.

Orange County Coaches All Star Softball Classic

The City of Irvine sponsors this girl's softball all-star game. The
game features seniors from Orange County high schools. An appointed panel of Orange County high school softball coaches selects the athletes for this exciting annual event.

Date: 1st or 2nd week of June

Locations: Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park
