The City of Irvine Community Services Department is seeking contract Tennis Professionals to teach or conduct tennis classes/services to children and adults. Our program is one of the strongest city run programs in the country. We are looking for Tennis Professionals to join our team and enhance the City’s tennis program. The City of Irvine is a multicultural community so bi-lingual instructors are desired.

At this time we are scheduling interviews for all interested candidates.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS:

  1. All City of Irvine Tennis Instructors must be PTR or USPTA Certified.
  2. Quality control is very important, and the City reserves the right to observe classes at anytime. Full refunds will be granted to students dissatisfied with a class.
  3. Compensation for contract instructors teaching at City-provided facilities is based on 55% of registration fees received; for private lessons contractors will be compensated at a rate of 70%.
  4. The City handles all registration for classes.
  5. Instructors are encouraged to assist in finding students for their classes through supplemental advertising.
  6. All Instructors will be required to provide liability insurance, naming the City of Irvine as additionally insured.
  7. All Instructors will be required to submit fingerprints through the Department of Justice Live Scan Applicant Processing System at the City’s expense.
