Irvine Has Heart Food Drive

The City of Irvine, in partnership with the Second Harvest Food Bank, will kick off its annual Healthy Food Drive on Valentine's Day. Donations will benefit several Irvine Food pantry distribution programs. Residents are asked to donate healthy canned or non-perishable food items.

Tax Assistance Program

The City of Irvine, in partnership with Orange County United Way, Irvine Valley College and the Orange County One-Stop Center, is offering free tax preparation services to taxpayers who earned less than $60,000 in 2014.

Exploring Bommer: It's All About the Earth Day Hike

Celebrate Earth Day (officially April 22) with a fun 2- to 3-mile hike in the wilds of the Irvine Open Space Preserve. We'll explore the uniqueness of Bommer Canyon and what makes it such a special place, discussing its past, present and future while enjoying the spectacular views and beautiful trails. This program occurs concurrently with the monthly Wilderness Access Day. The trails will be available for self-guided access from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Registration not required. Ages 8+.
