The Child Care Coordination Office provides a variety of services to support children and families in the City of Irvine.
Finding Child Care
Choosing child care is one of the most important decisions a parent can make. Finding the care most suitable for your child will take time, but learning about the types of child care available and how to determine quality in a child care program will help your search to be successful.
Children with Special Needs and Child Care
As a parent of a special needs child, getting information and assistance to provide for your child's emotional, intellectual, physical, and health needs with help to promote long-term success.
Financial Assistance
Several programs within Orange County may be able to provide financial assistance with your child care needs.
Child Resource Center (CRC)
The CRC offers resources and materials to support your child’s early learning and development.
Trainings and Events
A list of workshops and events for early care & education professionals is provided to enhance the quality of child care in Irvine. Workshops may also be of interest to parents. Please see each specific listing for the appropriate audience.
Making a Complaint about a Licensed Child Care Program
The State of California Division of Community Care Licensing has oversight authority over all licensed family child care homes and child care centers. To make a complaint please contact Orange County Community Care Licensing at 714-703-2800. Remember: When you report suspected violations, you not only protect individuals in care facilities, but also perform a service to your community.
