Program Specialist Dawna Finley has Retired

This afternoon the Irvine Police Department gave a heart felt farewell to Program Specialist Dawna Finley after 30-years of service to the City of Irvine.  Dawna made the decision to retire from an organization that she described as "her extended family."  Dawna spent her first five years at the City in the Community Services Department as a Senior Community Services Leader, where she was instrumental in developing and coordinating several adult athletic programs including adult volleyball and softball leagues.  For the past 25 years Dawna has served as a Program Specialist in Emergency Management where she worked hand-in-hand with the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).  As a CERT Coordinator she has assisted in instructing 27 CERT courses, which accounted for over 500 citizens who are now prepared to assist the Irvine community in the event of a catastrophic event.  Dawna has been recognized over the years for her service and dedication in the field of emergency management by state and federal agencies.  We are grateful for her years of service and wish her the very best in her retirement and future endeavors.
