Officer Kim received the Employee of the Quarter Award this afternoon at the Irvine Exchange Club's monthly luncheon.  Chief Maggard, Lieutenant Hallinan, and Sergeant Randall were all present to thank Alex for his exceptional service to the community.

The Employee of the Quarter Award is given based on nominations from the recipient’s peers and supervisors for demonstrating outstanding performance over the prior quarter.  Officer Kim was nominated for his outstanding work ethic, and for his consistency in providing quality service while handling a high volume of patrol calls.  Officer Kim routinely conducted extensive follow up on his cases, often leading to successful resolution, including a high number of arrests.

His peers and supervisors said, "I love the attitude he comes to work with; he handles his calls, then loves to look for the next good arrest".

These awards luncheons are an extraordinary way to share the great accomplishments of the Irvine Police Department with our community and would not be possible without the long-standing and generous support of the Irvine Exchange Club.
