The code was developed using the form-based code presented at the July 2005 IBC design charrette and refined to address other issues related to residential development in the IBC. Click here for additional information.
The Planning Commission and Community Services Commission will be holding joint work sessions to review the draft code on Wednesday, October 19 at 5 p.m. and Thursday, October 20, at 4 p.m. Both work sessions wil be held in the City Council Chambers at Irvine City Hall. At this time, City staff will present the draft code and discuss how it relates back to the IBC vision adopted by the City Council in April 2005 and referenced in the draft code. The draft code will be revised following these work sessions in preparation for public hearings.
