Grant Requests 2013-14

$500,000 Available in Irvine Educational Partnership Grants for FY 2013-14.

The City continues annual funding to boost programs and activities at Irvine public schools, committed to enhancing academic and health programming for Irvine students. As a result of Measure R, the Irvine Schools Support Initiative that was passed by voters in November 2010, the Irvine Educational Partnership Fund will continue from Fiscal Year 2011-12 through 2013-14. The fund was first created by City Council action in January 2006.
 
Public school districts or lawfully formed California non-profit corporations working in partnership with the Irvine Unified School District or Tustin Unified School District are eligible to apply. Application programs/activities must be designed to directly enhance health services, such as on-site nursing, nutrition or guidance programs, and be deliverable at a public school(s) located within the boundaries of the City of Irvine.
 

Applicants are encouraged, but not required, to attend a grant workshop at the Irvine Civic Center, located at 1 Civic Center Plaza, on Thursday, September 27 at 9 a.m. in room L102.

Applications that are faxed or emailed will not be accepted. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 1 (six copies).

Funds up to $100,000 can be allocated to a single grant request. All awards and funding allocations are contingent upon City Council approval. Funds are expected to be granted by July 2013.
