Culinary Workshops for Families

Ages 3-6 + Parent

Parent & Me: Culinary Workshops
You and your little chef will bake delicious cupcakes and cookies together! For 3 to 6 year-olds and their parents. Fee includes 1 parent & 1 child. Instructor: Christianne Winthrop. $49 (IFAC Members: $44).

Menu: Sandwich Skewers, Prosciutto-Wrapped Shrimp Skewers, Chicken Sausage encased in Puff Pastry, Vanilla Cake & Berry Skewers

Please register your child for this course by 3 p.m. the day before workshop. $49 fee covers 1 parent and 1 child. Parent must attend with child. Call the Fine Arts Center at 949.724.6880 to add siblings between the ages of 3 to 8 with attending parent at an additional $20.

Culinary Workshops for Children

Ages 6-12

Learn basic culinary techniques and kitchen safety to develop confidence in a delicious environment. Recipes and supplies included. Instructor: Christianne Winthrop. $39 (IFAC Members: $35). Please register by 3 p.m. the day before workshop.

Christianne Winthrop is a Los Angeles area-based freelance food, health and parenting writer, recipe developer, culinary instructor and boutique caterer with writing credits in The Los Angeles Times, SeriousEats.com, CBS Local’s “Best of LA” blog, BrainWorld magazine and more. She is a Chef Instructor for the Gourmandise School of Sweets & Savories in Santa Monica, for Sur La Table in Costa Mesa, and for the Garden School Foundation – a non-profit focused on teaching children about gardening and healthy eating. Christianne has invaluable experience as Healthy Eating Educator at Whole Foods Markets in the LA Westside as she has launched and implemented the “Health Starts Here” programs for customers and employees where she has developed and lead trainings for 650+ employees on nutrition, food allergies, and dairy & sugar alternatives. She has been a Food Stylist on Good Day LA and The Late Show with Craig Ferguson
