Volunteers Needed
City of Irvine Senior Services is urgently seeking volunteers to help support the Rose Garden Café and Irvine Meals on Wheels programs in the following areas:

Rose Garden Café Server 
Assist with serving food and beverages to local seniors in the Rose Garden Café.  Great opportunity for those who enjoy specific tasks (setting tables, serving meals,  clearing away after the meal) as well as ample opportunities to visit with a wonderful group of seniors. Negative TB Test within the past year is required prior to volunteering.

Multiple Shifts Available
Monday through Friday
10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Lakeview Senior Center

Food Preparation
Learn new skills, recipes and meet new friends assisting in the preparation of up to 200 plus meals for the daily lunch program and Meals on Wheels. Negative TB Test within the past year is required prior to volunteering.

Monday through Friday
8 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Lakeview Senior Center

Meals on Wheels Packager
Enjoy helping others but prefer to be behind the scenes?  Assist with packaging the daily meals (more than 1,000 each week!) for 100 homebound seniors in the Irvine community.  Negative TB Test within the past year is required prior to volunteering.

Meals on Wheels Driver
Volunteers provide a vital service to older adults who are unable to prepare meals for themselves. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10:40 a.m.-1 p.m. Minimum of six month commitment requirements provide proof of valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and complete and pass a criminal background check.

Hospitality
Hospitality volunteers make new visitors feel welcome by telling them about many programs and activities, giving a tour of the facility.

Available Shifts of 1 or 2 hours  

Monday through Friday
9 a.m.-3 p.m.

We offer teen volunteers during summer, spring and winter breaks during the day Monday-Friday please check back in May for more Details.
