IRVINE, CA (March 12, 2014) – The City of Irvine was selected as a 2013 Award of Excellence recipient, from the California Park and Recreation Society, for Irvine Gives, the City’s comprehensive online resource for charitable giving opportunities. Irvine Gives was selected in the “Marketing and Communications” awards category for its website design, which guides citizens to specific subject areas to help make donating money, time and/or resources as easy as clicking a button. The California Park and Recreation Society is a nonprofit, professional and public interest organization that supports and advances California’s park and recreation profession. The organization fosters human development, health and wellness, cultural unity, natural resource protection, and supporting economic development.
