Geographic Area - Crossroads

Welcome! (Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese, A Thank You to the Translators)

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Irvine Police Department Crossroads Area web site. The area of Crossroads encompasses the communities of Woodbridge, Westpark, Deerfield, The Ranch, The Colony, College Park, Irvine Groves, Harvard Square, Heritage Park, Greentree, The Willows, and California Homes.

On May 24, 2003, the Irvine Police Department implemented geographic based policing, which divides the city into three geographic areas, based upon calls for service, village boundaries, and highway configurations. Each area has a commander who is responsible for the delivery of police services to the communities within the designated geographic area. Crossroads employs 35 sworn police officers and 4 civilian staff members, including supervisors, patrol officers, traffic officers, detectives, community service officers, school resource officers, and crime prevention officers. Each of these team members is committed to serving the Crossroads area for one year.

What can “Geo-Policing” do for you? We believe that it will give you a small town feeling, with a neighborhood officer who is familiar with your individual community. Our mission defines what we do. This mission will be accomplished by applying our values of integrity, quality service, accountability and respect in everything we do. Our goal is to provide the highest level of service, by taking ownership for the public safety and quality of life issues impacting your area.

To maximize the resources in resolving community concerns, a Neighborhood Enhancement Team (N.E.T.) has been formed which includes representatives from Community Services, Community Development, and Public Works, who work with your Area Commander in meeting the challenges of providing a safe environment.

It is my sincere hope that you find this web site useful in both communicating information to you about your community, and as a vehicle by which you may exchange your thoughts with us concerning your neighborhood. Please feel free to contact me at (949) 724-7025.
