Officer Chris Bees - Employee of the Quarter
On Tuesday, October 18, 2011, Officer Chris Bees received the Employee of the Quarter award at a luncheon held at the Irvine Marriot. Sponsored by the Irvine Exchange Club, the luncheon was attended by Exchange Club members as well as Chief Maggard, Deputy Chief Noble, Commander Hare, Sergeants Wolf and Russell, and Detective Cherney.
Officer Bees began his law enforcement career with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff. He transferred to the Irvine Police Department in 2007. He has been assigned to the Crossroads area for the last several shifts where he has established a reputation for being a thorough and attentive officer both to calls for service and proactive patrols in his area.
Praised by his coworkers for being humble and thoughtful, examples of his service to the community were many in his nomination for this award. His supervisor’s commented that he works without supervision and does the right things for the right reasons. Officer Bees has also recently received several commendations from community members. Ranging from the pursuit and apprehension of felons to his Problem Oriented Policing approach to quality of life issues, Officer Bees has impressed a number of community members, supervisors and detectives with his attitude toward resolving problems and getting the job done.
Congratulations to Bees Officer on this well—deserved award.
