Officer Wills Serves Children at Haitian Orphanage
Over Labor Day weekend Officer Dave Wills and 25 members of “Dental Care for Children” provided dental care to children at the Pwoje Espwa Sud Orphanage in southern Haiti. Dental Care for Children was founded by Dr. Tozzer of Irvine in 1991 and has delivered over $2 million in free dental care to over 10,000 needy children residing in Southern California and orphanages and schools in Mexico, Central America and Haiti. During the four-day goodwill mission, Officer Wills assisted ten dentists in treating 252 children and their caregivers in need of dental services. It is home to approximately 700 orphaned children, provides education to 1,200 local children and serves over 4,000 daily meals. Officer Wills also delivered used duty-belt items donated by individual Irvine police officers to a local Haitian police station.
