Celebrate community, connection, and clean air through the City of Irvine’s first-ever car-free Open Streets Event along 1.66 miles on Barranca Parkway and Harvard Avenue.

What is CicloIrvine?

CicloIrvine will highlight the City’s commitment to community engagement, sustainability, and environmentally conscious means of travel with nearly two miles of City streets closed to cars and open for people to stroll, bike, and roll! Experience Irvine’s public spaces and local business in a new and reimagined way with live music, art, and engaging activities for all. 

Route Information

Street Closure Hours: 7 a.m.–6:30 p.m.

If you live or work on the CicloIrvine route, please note the following restrictions during the closure hours:

  • Street closures will begin at 7 a.m. and last until 6:30 p.m.
  • There will be no street parking along the route, which will be closed to car traffic from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (approximately) for the event.
  • Most driveways along the route will be closed as well from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Keep a look out for signs to indicate driving detours.

Car Access and Parking

  • If your business is along the event route, you and your customers may expect some detours, although ALL commercial parking lots will remain open and accessible at all times.
  • Street closures will begin at 7 a.m., with full route closures in place by 10 a.m. The event runs 11 a.m.–4 p.m., and streets will be fully open to cars by approximately 6:30 p.m.
  • Cars can cross the route at all major streets (see map). Streets adjacent to the route will remain open.
  • Additional parking near the route may be restricted. Check for posted restrictions before the event.
