Join two generations of artists as they discuss inspiration, setbacks and professional and creative triumphs as female abstract painters. The panel discussion will feature artists Jane Bauman, Maggie Tennesen, Suzanne Walsh and Andrea Welton.

The panel discussion complements the Orange County Great Park Gallery's ongoing exhibit Painting in the Abstract: Women Inspired by the Masters. The exhibit explores the impact and diversity of women in the Southern California art scene while showcasing how they are challenging the medium and echoing the legacies of the mid-century female masters.

Painting in the Abstract runs Thursday, Oct. 5-Sunday, Nov. 12 at the Great Park Gallery. Gallery hours are noon-4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
