Celebrate community, connection, and clean air through the City of Irvine’s second car-free Open Streets Event along 1.6 miles on Campus Drive.

What is CicloIrvine?

CicloIrvine will highlight the City’s commitment to community engagement, sustainability, and environmentally conscious means of travel with 1.6 miles of City streets closed to cars and open for people to stroll, bike, and roll. Experience Irvine’s public spaces and local business in a new and reimagined way with live music, art, and engaging activities for all. Route Information - Residents, visitors, and businesses are invited to stroll, bike, and roll along a 1.6-mile stretch of Campus Drive, which will be closed to vehicular traffic between University Drive and Culver Drive, for a day of fun, fitness, and community connection.
 

Street Closure Hours: 6 a.m.–8 p.m.

If you live or work on the CicloIrvine route, please note the following restrictions during the closure hours:

  • Street closures will begin at 6 a.m. and last until 8 p.m.
  • There will be no street parking along the route, which will be closed to vehicle traffic from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Most driveways along the route will be inaccessible during full closure hours (6 a.m. to 8 p.m.). However, businesses will remain accessible via Harvard Avenue and designated cross streets—Bridge Road, Berkeley Avenue, and California Avenue. Look for posted signs indicating detour routes.

  • Plan on business as usual.
  • Businesses can become a part of the event by joining CicloIrvine as an event sponsor or offering specials to visitors on the day of the event.

Car Access and Parking

  • If your business is along the event route, some detours will be in place, but all commercial parking lots will remain open and accessible at all times.
  • Street closures will begin at 6 a.m., with full route closures in place by 10 a.m. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and streets will fully reopen to traffic by approximately 8 p.m.
  • Cars can cross the route at Harvard Ave, which will remain open, and Bridge Rd, Berkeley Ave, and California Ave will provide cross-route access. (see map).
  • Streets adjacent to the route will remain open.
  • Additional parking restrictions may be in place near the event route. Please check posted signs before the event.
