The City of Irvine is pleased to offer a streamlined, all-electronic plan review process called Irvine READY! 

Irvine READY! is a web-based platform designed to save you, our customer, time and money by allowing you to do business online with City at your convenience. Apply and pay online for planning, building, and engineering plan review and permits anytime without traveling to the Irvine Civic Center for service. Additionally, some minor residential and commercial permits that do not require a formal plan review can be issued through our self-service customer portal.

If you need additional assistance creating and submitting your project, the Community Development Department now offers in-person appointments to assist you with the process. Appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. When scheduling an appointment, please be sure to include the reason for your visit.

Appointments can be made here for the following services: 

• Permit Services will be offering in-person assistance with online submittals.
• Building & Safety Plan Check will be offering in-person assistance with inquiries specific to code and building standards, City specific requirements, and submittal requirements.
• The Development Assistance Counter will be offering in-person appointments for more detailed or specific planning case inquiries.
