Conference and Training Center, Irvine City Hall

Overview

The City of Irvine is updating its Parks and Facilities Master Plan, which will help guide the future development and operation of the City’s park and recreational facilities.

The City has been gathering community input in an effort to identify public park and recreation needs today and into the future. Once completed, the Parks and Facilities Master Plan will help decision-makers identify priority upgrade projects at new and existing parks and facilities over the next ten years.

Thank You to All Who Participated!

In January 2015, the City of Irvine Community Development Department initiated a multifaceted public outreach process to gather opinions from Irvine residents and visitors via stakeholder interviews, focus group discussions, community intercepts at local parks, random sample telephone surveys, and an interactive mapping survey accessed off this webpage. More than 1,600 responses were gathered from these various platforms. Thank you to all who participated in the first stages of this exciting project!

It’s Not Too Late to Share Your Feedback!

Although the online mapping survey is no longer active, interested community members are encouraged to submit comments via email. Additionally, several public meetings and community workshops regarding this Master Plan are planned for the months ahead.

The first Community Workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 6 P.M. in the Conference and Training Center, Irvine City Hall, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine. Interested parties are encouraged to sign up to receive notification of this and other upcoming events.
