The City of Irvine invites the community to provide feedback on proposed plans for the rehabilitation of Bommer Canyon Cattle Camp during Community Services Commission meetings scheduled for: Wednesday, October 3, 5:30 p.m., at Las Lomas Community Center; and Wednesday, October 17, 5:30 p.m., at Irvine City Hall.
The public hearings will provide members of the public an opportunity to review a City-initiated park design modification request for rehabilitation of the Cattle Camp event site. The proposed modification includes site layout revisions, accessibility improvements, replacement of portable buildings, addition of permanent restroom facilities, and landscaping improvements.
The project focuses on refreshing the former Cattle Camp, originally built in 1967. The 15-acre rustic site is a popular setting for parties, company picnics, weddings, family reunions, and campouts.
Copies of the Community Services Commission staff report, the proposed plans, and other project information will be available for review by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 28, at the Community Services Department, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine (City Hall) or online at cityofirvine.org/cattlecamp.
