March is National Nutrition Month, and the City of Irvine is here to support your path to better health. From hands-on cooking classes to informative lectures and food resources, explore ways to build balanced habits.

Healthy Lunch
Wednesdays, 6–8 p.m. | Irvine Fine Arts Center | Ages 18+

Learn practical techniques for preparing nutritious meals using seasonal ingredients that support overall wellness and brain health.

Free Food Box Distribution
Second Thursday of each month, 9 a.m.–noon | Great Park Parking Lot 2

In collaboration with Community Action Partnership of Orange County, the City of Irvine offers The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). Eligible residents can receive a monthly food box filled with a variety of nutritious staples — from fresh produce and protein to whole grains and dairy — helping support balanced meals and overall well-being. Items may include dried beans, fruits and vegetables, juice, meat (when available), poultry, fish, nuts, milk, cheese, rice, cereal, and pasta.

The City, in collaboration with the Community Health Initiative of Orange County (CHIOC), also offers assistance with CalFresh enrollment, as well as other health and social service programs.
