The California State Legislature passed and Governor Brown signed Assembly X1 26 dissolving redevelopment agencies throughout the State of California in 2011. Prior to dissolution, on January 10, 2012, the Irvine City Council elected to become the Housing Successor to the Irvine Redevelopment Agency and retain all housing assets and functions.
