Take control of your health and fitness at the Senior Fitness Expo, which includes health screenings, nutrition information, demonstrations and a wide variety of of the latest health and fitness products.

Kick off summer in the pool with the Irvine Super Swim Lesson. Adults and children of all swimming abilities are invited to participate in Irvine’s largest group swim lesson in an effort to raise awareness for drowning prevention. Arrive at 5:30 p.m. to sign up for the free, on-site lesson starting at 6 p.m., then stay for recreation swim that includes a water slide, giant inflatable slide and diving boards. At dusk stay and watch the movie "Sing" play on the big screen. Lifeguards will be on duty.

The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will be participating in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  

Community members can drive up and drop off unwanted medications at two designated locations in the City of Irvine. This free service, which allows the public to anonymously discard prescription medications, addresses a vital public safety and public health issue. The participating sites are:

Irvine Police Department, 1 Civic Center Plaza, in the parking lot.

Location: Palm Court Arts Complex

Enjoy live performances of classical compositions by masters such as Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, and Stravinsky every Sunday in the Palm Court Arts Complex. Free admission; no registration required.
