The City of Irvine is now part of the Little Free Library nationwide movement. Little Free Library encourages literacy and a love of reading by creating free book exchanges. The books at each site focus on a different area of interest, such as children’s books or do-it yourself books. Nationwide, there are 36,000 Little Free Libraries. Tustin resident Katherine Brady first brought the idea to City leadership and helped make it become a reality. For more information about the nationwide program, go to littlefreelibrary.org.
