The City of Irvine has implemented PermitsDIRECT! powered by Symbium, a web-based platform that makes it possible to get permits for single-family residential solar and battery storage systems instantly.
The platform automatically checks for code compliance and issues permits in real time for residential solar and energy storage systems. Now you can apply and pay online for plan review and permits without making a trip to the Irvine Civic Center.
Additional minor residential and commercial permits will be added in 2024.

The event is first-come, first-served and will end early if truck capacity is reached. Customers who wish to watch their paper be shredded will need to park in a designated area away from the truck and staff.
