Report a Violation

Boarding houses (or rooming houses) are residences where there are two or more rental agreements. City of Irvine zoning requirements prohibit boarding houses in many locations, yet allow them to be considered by conditional use permit in certain zoning districts.

City of Irvine Code Enforcement Inspectors ensure a healthy and safe community, by responding to concerns from the public.  This includes violations of building construction without permits, hoarding conditions, property maintenance, short-term rentals, unpermitted signs, boarding houses, and more.
