City of Irvine is accepting and sorting Santa’s mail this holiday season. Letters can be mailed or dropped off to Heritage, Northwood, and Turtle Community Centers. Responses to letters can be picked up where the letter was accepted. Allow one week for responses. A drop-off/pick-up box will be available at each location. Beginning November 10, The Farmer's Market will be relocating to Stonegate Elementary located at 100 Honors. The Farmer's Market will operate from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The City of Irvine is exploring opportunities to host a Farmer's Market at the Great Park in the future.
For the last 40 years artist Minna Chow has been living and working in Irvine, creating brush paintings in the traditional Chinese style, one of the oldest artistic traditions in the world. Chow was first introduced to the technique by her mother, eventually majoring in Chinese Language and Literature, allowing her to learn different calligraphy and Chinese brush painting styles.
