The Irvine Police Department is offering a bicycle safety course for kids on Saturday, June 29, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Irvine Civic Center. The S.T.A.R.S. (Safety Training and Riding Skills) class is geared toward children ages 6-11 with basic bicycle riding skills. The course consists of a fun, educational bicycle skills course as well as classroom training. Students will be provided instruction in key areas, including:

The City of Irvine's signature festival returns to Great Park this year. Great Park is located at 8000 Great Park Blvd., in Irvine. Take the 5 or 405 freeways to Sand Canyon. Please enter at the intersection of Sand Canyon Avenue and Great Park Boulevard, and follow event signage.
