I am writing to recognize and sincerely express my gratitude for the Irvine Youth Employment Services Program and their Staff. Their professionalism and expertise contributed to my teenage son's recent job
offer with Albertsons grocery store. The Job Search Survival Workshop, Resume Building, and Mock Interview sessions were truly invaluable to my son. He needed these resources to be successful in both his job search and job procurement efforts. The professionalism, dedication, expertise, and pure kindness and sincerity shown by [the staff] were very much appreciated by my son, Nathan and I. They clearly have a broad depth and breadth of knowledge regarding the Irvine job market and what Irvine employers are seeking in job applicants. Their experience proved invaluable. I applaud these individuals, this wonderful community program available to Irvine's Youth, and the efforts of the City to keep this program funded so they can offer it as a complimentary service to its residents. I have already recommended this program to several parents and will continue to sing this program's praises at every available opportunity. Additionally, I have placed flyers advertising upcoming workshops in popular areas where teenagers frequent. I will also be sure to share this program with my son's school counselors at University High when school resumes after summer. Please share with [the staff] that they have done a wonderful job introducing the work world and job searching to my son, Nathan. He will be starting his second week of employment this upcoming week and has been well-received by his Supervisor and co-workers.
