In observance of the winter holidays, City of Irvine City Hall offices will be closed:

  • January 1

The Police Department Business Desk closed:

  • December 25

Community Centers: will be closed December 24–25 and January 1.

Aquatics facilities will be closed December 24–25 and January 1.

The Child Resource Center

  • Closed December 23–26
  • Open December 30–31: Noon–5 p.m. (Modified Hours)
  • Closed January 1
  • Open January 2: Noon–5 p.m. (Modified Hours)

The Irvine Animal Care Center will be closed to the public:

  • December 31–January 1

The Irvine Fine Arts Center:

  • Open December 16: 10 a.m.–8 p.m. (Modified Hours)
  • Open ​December 17–19: 10 a.m.–9 p.m. 
  • Open December 20: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Great Park 

  • December 23: General park areas and Palm Court Arts Complex open; all other amenities including Great Park Balloon and Carousel will be closed.

  • December 25: General park areas and Visitors Center open; all other amenities including Great Park Balloon and Carousel will be closed.
  • December 31: General park areas and Palm Court Arts Complex open; all other amenities including Great Park Balloon and Carousel will be closed.

STREET SWEEPING & TRASH COLLECTION

Street sweeping will not be available December 24 and 25. For a complete street sweeping schedule, visit cityofirvine.org/streetsweeping.

If your trash collection service day falls on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day, your service will be delayed by one day. 

WM will collect and recycle Christmas trees placed curbside beginning December 26 for three consecutive weeks. Trees taller than 6 feet must be cut in half. Please remove all decorations including lights, ornaments, tinsel, and tree stands. Flocked trees will be collected but not recycled. For more information, visit wm.com.

The nomination period for this office begins on Monday, December 23, 2024, and closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025. Nomination papers are only available from the City Clerk during regular office hours by appointment only (Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) To schedule an appointment:
