Attend an Irvine Public Library Space Planning Meeting

The City of Irvine is proud to announce the official opening of the newly reimagined Irvine Public Library system Sunday, August 3. With book checkouts, community programs, and dynamic spaces for learning and connection, Irvine Public Library is stepping boldly into the future.

As part of a comprehensive facilities planning effort, the City is conducting a study to evaluate and plan for future library needs across the community. This process will be informed by direct public input through a series of community meetings and engagement opportunities.

Two upcoming meetings will provide residents with information about the planning study and offer a platform for feedback on preliminary concepts for future branch locations, facility sizes, programming, and collections:

  • Tuesday, August 5, 6–7:30 p.m. at Quail Hill Community Center
  • Thursday, August 7, 6–7:30 p.m. at Deerfield Community Center

These initial conversations are an important step in ensuring that library services evolve in alignment with the needs and aspirations of the City’s growing and diverse population.

Additional updates and opportunities for public involvement will be posted at irvinepubliclibrary.org. Comments and suggestions are also welcome at any time via email at irvinepubliclibrary@cityofirvine.org

The City of Irvine remains committed to building a forward-thinking library system that reflects the values, creativity, and curiosity of the entire community. Together, let’s build the next chapter for Irvine Public Library.
