The City of Irvine announces the opening of submissions for the 2025 Irvine Annual, a celebrated, juried exhibition that has been a cornerstone of the Southern California arts scene for over four decades. Now in its 41st year, the exhibition, formerly known as All Media, continues its tradition of showcasing the dynamic talent of California artists and will be held July 12–August 30 at the Irvine Fine Arts Center. Applications are open April 1–30.
Irvine Annual invites California artists, ages 18 and older, to submit their work in a wide range of visual artistic mediums, including assemblage, ceramic, collage, digital media, drawing, fiber, mixed media, metal, painting, paper, photography, printmaking, sculpture, synthetic materials, and wood. Please note that glass is not an eligible material for this call, and all submitted artwork must be wall-mounted. Artists interested in submitting their work can apply online at artsinirvine.org/irvineannual. Detailed instructions and eligibility criteria can be found online.
This year’s submissions will be juried by an esteemed panel of guest jurors, each bringing a wealth of expertise and artistic vision to the selection process: Elizabeth Munzón, artist and owner of Munzón Gallery in Long Beach, California; Stephanie Sherwood, artist and curator; and Dakota Noot, artist, curator, and acting director of the Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion at Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa.
As a signature Arts in Irvine exhibition, the Irvine Annual is a unique opportunity for California artists to showcase their work in one of the region’s most prestigious and long-running exhibitions. Emerging and established artists are invited to apply. Applications and more information can be found online at artsinirvine.org/irvineannual.
