The City of Irvine was awarded a Top Workplaces 2025 honor, ranking among large companies with 500 or more employees in The Orange County Register’s 18th annual list of Top Workplaces.
This is the fifth consecutive year the City has received this prestigious recognition, which celebrates organizations that have built an outstanding company culture. Irvine was once again the only Orange County municipality among 145 companies on the list.
“Being recognized as a Top Workplace for the fifth year is a significant achievement, especially because this recognition comes directly from our employees,” Mayor Larry Agran said. “Irvine is an exceptional City in large part because of the dedicated people who serve our community, and we are proud to cultivate a respectful, collaborative, and supportive work environment.”
This is the 18th year The Orange County Register has partnered with Energage, a Philadelphia-based workplace survey and employer-relations company, to determine Orange County’s Top Workplaces. The results are based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey that uniquely measures the employee experience.
Employers are ranked among groups of similar size to most accurately compare results. Within those size groupings, companies are ranked, and those that score high enough are recognized as Top Workplaces. Any employer is eligible to participate as long as it has at least 35 employees in the county. Employers can be public, private, nonprofit, or government.
