City of Irvine Seeks Applicants for Vacancy on New Health and Wellness Advisory Committee

Monday, March 31, 2025

As part of its ongoing commitment to the community’s health and well-being, the City of Irvine has established a Health and Wellness Advisory Committee. This newly formed committee will serve in an advisory capacity to the Irvine City Council, providing input on health and wellness initiatives related to children, youth, families, housing assistance, and mental health services.

The City is actively seeking applicants for one Member-at-Large volunteer position for the committee.

The Health and Wellness Advisory Committee will consist of seven City Council appointees, one Member-at-Large, and one representative each from the following educational organizations: Irvine Unified School District, Tustin Unified School District, and Irvine Valley College. The committee will meet quarterly, 5–7:30 p.m., at the Irvine Civic Center or other City locations.

Members are appointed to a two-year term from May 2025 to February 2027. Applicants must be willing to serve actively and contribute meaningfully to the committee’s discussions and initiatives.

Residents interested in public health, wellness initiatives, and community engagement are encouraged to complete an application and submit it online. Completed applications must be received by Thursday, April 17, at 5 p.m. For further information or questions, please contact Heather Dion at 949-724-5429 or hdion@cityofirvine.org.
