The City of Irvine will participate in a regional test of AlertOC, Orange County’s mass notification system, Wednesday, September 17, at approximately 10:30 a.m.
AlertOC delivers time-sensitive emergency alerts to residents and businesses by text, email, and phone. As part of the test, all registered phones and devices will receive a notification. Community members are encouraged to sign up for this important service at AlertOC.com.
In addition, the City has completed installation of a new mass communication speaker system at the Great Park Sports Complex. This system will also be tested Wednesday, September 17, at approximately 10:30 a.m. During the test, Great Park visitors and nearby residents may hear sirens or audible alert messages.
