Independence Day Closures

City of Irvine offices, aquatics facilities, and community centers will be closed in observance of Independence Day, July 4. If you are looking for holiday fun, join us at the City’s Fourth of July Celebration at the Great Park from 4 to 10 p.m., featuring live music, family activities, and spectacular drone and fireworks shows!

Fourth of July Hours and Closures

  • Adventure Playground
  • Central Bark
  • Irvine Animal Care Center
  • Irvine Fine Arts Center
  • Lakeview Senior Center
  • Rancho Senior Center
  • Trabuco Center
  • Sweet Shade Ability Center

Great Park

  • The Great Park Gallery will be open noon–6 p.m.
  • The Farm + Food Lab will be closed.
  •  The Balloon will be open 10 a.m.–3 p.m. and 5–8 p.m.
  • The Carousel will be open 10 a.m –10 p.m.

All parks remain open for passive use.

The Irvine Police Department Business Desk and Emergency Services will remain open. For more information on Police Services, please call 949-724-7000. 

TRIPS buses and Irvine CONNECT will not be in service. 

There will be no street sweeping taking place July 4 in the areas of College Park, Willows, Greentree, West Irvine, North Park Square, and Eastwood. Street sweeping in these areas will occur on the next scheduled date, July 18. For questions about trash collection, please visit Waste Management’s website.
