The City of Irvine has partnered with Love Irvine for the fifth annual Love Irvine Citywide Serve Day Saturday, November 8, from 7:30 a.m. to noon. This partnership connects people who want to help with volunteer opportunities at various nonprofit service providers, faith-based organizations, government entities, and schools.
Volunteers can participate in a variety of projects, such as harvesting produce at Harvest Solutions Farm; sorting food and donations for Families Forward and organizing their Community Market; making blankets for the 2/11 Marine Battalion; supporting the Farm + Food Lab Pollinator Project; packing 30,000 meals to feed hungry children, and much more.
There are more than 25 projects available through Love Irvine on November 8, and many ways for residents to make a meaningful impact. The entire community is encouraged to come together and serve, creating a lasting difference in the City of Irvine and beyond. A kickoff event will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Woodbridge Village Center, and afterward, volunteers will report to their respective volunteer locations. Love Irvine is dedicated to uniting people to make a positive impact in Irvine through purposeful events and citywide volunteer initiatives. Through collaboration with nonprofit service providers and government entities, Love Irvine identifies the needs in our community and then connects these needs with faith-based organizations, businesses, and individuals, presenting opportunities to serve the community in simple, actionable ways. Together, Love Irvine creates a sense of belonging and purpose for everyone in the community.
