The City is developing a 30-year Urban Forest Master Plan (UFMP), which contains measurable goals and recommended actions to help the City achieve 30% canopy cover and realize our ideal urban forest by 2055.
The 30-day public comment period for the master plan is now open. Community members are encouraged to review the UFMP and share input on Irvine’s urban forestry goals by Friday, July 18. Your review will ensure the master plan is reflective of community values and priorities. It will help shape the practices, guidelines, and initiatives the City will prioritize as urban forestry actions. The master plan is available to view online, and comments can be emailed to ufmp@dudek.com.
Join the City of Irvine in enhancing citywide canopy cover and securing our place as an urban forestry leader in the region.
