The South Yale Corridor Improvements Project will evaluate the south segment of Yale Avenue in the City of Irvine (City), between the I-405 Freeway and University Drive. The project aims to better utilize the available roadway space to best serve community needs such as safety, access to neighborhoods and the school, as well as connections to nearby parks and trails. This project will work with the community to identify roadway concepts to address the needs of local users along South Yale Avenue and seeks to provide opportunities for multi-modal uses.
Community input is an essential part of this study and will align the project concepts with residents’ needs. Please participate in a brief, anonymous project survey at bit.ly/SouthYale to share your thoughts.
The City will also be holding an in-person Community Workshop Saturday, October 22, to share information about the project, gain a better understanding of the community’s needs, gather important input, and further determine the best modal uses along South Yale Avenue. Drop in any time between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at University Community Center, 1 Beech Tree Lane. Learn more about the workshop and the project at cityofirvine.org/sharestheway.
