Ring the Bell

The City of Irvine is launching a new campaign to encourage bicyclists to “Ring the Bell.” Bicyclists and pedestrians share our beautiful trails and bikeways throughout the City. We all should remember to be courteous and safe as we enjoy these amenities. One way to do this is for bicyclists to ring their bike bell as an alert as they approach pedestrians or other cyclists. Then, slowly pass on the left.

As part of this campaign, the Irvine Police Department will be giving away free bike bells to the first 100 people who register their bikes at the department’s upcoming Open House. Check back here for more information on the Open House, including date and time for the event.

For more information on trail etiquette and bike safety, view our flier here. Buy your bike bell today.
