Irvine, CA – Today at approximately 5:22 p.m. Irvine Police Officers arrested 33 year-old Los Angeles resident Aaron Patterson for vehicle burglary.
At approximately 2:15 p.m. the Irvine Police Department received a call from security personnel at the Irvine Spectrum stating that their security officers had witnessed a man fleeing the scene of a vehicle burglary. The security officers were following the suspect as he fled in a separate vehicle southbound the I-5 freeway. The suspect crashed and disabled his vehicle while attempting to exit the freeway at the Alicia Parkway off-ramp. The suspect was observed fleeing the area on foot. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol searched the area but the suspect was not located.
Following up on information located at the scene of the traffic collision, Irvine Police Officers located the suspect on the 17000 block of Rosa Drew Lane in Irvine at approximately 5:22 p.m, where he was arrested without incident.
