A special Community Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 27, will provide a City of Irvine update on the nation’s largest parkland project of 688 acres including the 194-acre Sports Park; the state’s largest Community Ice Facility; and ask those who attend to provide input about still-to-be-built segments of the Orange County Great Park. The meeting will be at the Honda Center, home of the Anaheim Ducks. The team’s affiliate is developing a public Community Ice Facility at the Great Park, to grand open in 2018. The Community Ice Facility, with four sheets of ice, will be the largest in the state and one of the largest in the country. Staff presentation, special video, surveys for input, maps and ideas, along with information about the Community Ice Facility. Free public event, no RSVP needed.
