Man Dies in Traffic Collision

Irvine, Calif.  (Feb. 5, 2018) – A man was killed Monday in a traffic collision at San Remo and Paseo Westpark in Irvine.

At 5:45 p.m., Irvine Police Department officers and members of the Orange County Fire Authority responded to a report of a traffic collision at the location. The male driver of a motorcycle was found unresponsive. Despite lifesaving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver of a sedan involved in the accident was uninjured.

The man’s identity is not being released pending notification of family.

Paseo Westpark is closed between Alton and Barranca as the Irvine Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team investigates the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Christopher Ostrowski at 949-724-7047 or costrowski@cityofirvine.org.
