Man Involved in Single-Vehicle Collision on Sunday Dies of Injuries

Irvine, Calif.  (Feb. 6, 2018) – A man who was seriously injured in a single-vehicle traffic collision over the weekend has died of his injuries. Phihoang Phillip Do, 20, was from Montclair.

On Sunday at approximately 5 a.m., Irvine Police Department (IPD) officers and members of the Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene of a single-vehicle collision on University Drive between Ridgeline and Yale. The male driver and sole occupant of a sedan was found to have multiple traumatic injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. University Drive was closed for several hours Sunday as a result of the collision.

On Tuesday, IPD received notification that Do had been pronounced dead Monday night.
