On July 13, in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Gov. Gavin Newsom and the California Department of Public Health has ordered additional industry closures for indoor operations in the following sectors in Orange County:

In addition, on July 17 the California Department of Public Health issued updated guidance for the following:

Previously announced closures which took place on July 1 still remain in effect in Orange County and have been extended through the State of California. Those include:

  • Dine-in restaurants - guidance issued on July 6 for outdoor operations
  • Wineries and Tasting Rooms
  • Movie Theaters
  • Family Entertainment Centers
  • Zoos and Museums
  • Cardrooms

These sectors may modify operations to provide services outside or by pick-up. Outdoor services must adhere to appropriate modifications including physical distancing and use of face coverings. In addition, Bars, Brewpubs, Breweries and pubs must close indoor and outdoor operations.

The City of Irvine has closed the Great Park Gallery and Hangar 244, which reopened last month at the Orange County Great Park. Following the July 8 state directive, the City discontinued recreational team sport practices at its facilities. This includes but is not limited to soccer, baseball, tennis, aquatics and other organized youth sports teams.

Day camps continue to operate under the approved guidance provided by the state. For programming and opportunities, visit yourirvine.org
