A 39-year-old male motorcyclist has died from his injuries after colliding with a vehicle.
This morning at approximately 7:56 a.m., the Irvine Police Department (IPD) and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to a reported traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and a utility truck hauling a trailer. The collision occurred in the intersection of Jamboree and the southbound I-405 freeway off-ramp.
The motorcyclist, a resident of Huntington Beach, was transported to OC Global Hospital and was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival. The decedent’s identity is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the utility truck remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in the collision.
