A Message from Waste Management: COVID-19 Service Impacts

Many of us can likely agree that this past year has been extremely difficult and challenging. In this unprecedented time, we continue to provide essential services to our valued Irvine residential and commercial customers. While we are working hard to ensure the highest quality customer service and minimal service disruptions, we have come to realize that we are not unsusceptible to the impacts of COVID-19, which many other businesses have also experienced. This includes a shortage of drivers, office personnel, and maintenance staff which has the potential to cause temporary service delays.

You may have experienced temporary delays in service due to COVID-19. Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to minimize any impacts on your regular service schedule. We kindly ask for your continued patience as we work diligently to mitigate these impacts as quickly as possible.

The COVID-19 situation is fluid. If circumstances change that may impact our ability to provide scheduled services, we will provide prompt notifications to our customers and communities through our standard text, email, and outbound dial alert system. Please ensure your preferred contact information and communication method is up-to-date on your wm.com account in order to receive the latest updates from Waste Management. In addition, should you experience a service delay due to COVID-19 impacts, please ensure your container remains curbside and available for service.

Waste Management highly values our ability to service the City of Irvine and we remain committed to providing quality service to each customer. We apologize for any service inconvenience, and we sincerely thank each customer for your understanding and flexibility through this unforeseen pandemic.
