The Summer 2022 concert season at FivePoint Amphitheatre is underway. The concert schedule includes fan favorites from a variety of musical genres and promises to bring great entertainment to Irvine. In preparation for the season, Live Nation, the venue operator, has made significant investments in the amphitheater to reduce noise levels in the community.
Noise-attenuating sound barriers
- Live Nation is installing sound-absorbing barriers at the rear, sides, and in between the full bleacher structures at the amphitheater. This significant investment is expected to reduce the level of noise emanating from the amphitheater.
Enhanced sound monitoring program
- Live Nation will install additional sound monitors at the facility, allowing for better real-time data on and management of sound levels during the shows.
Improved speaker positioning
- This season, Live Nation will be repositioning the speaker system to minimize the amount of sound pointing above or to the sides of the bleachers, limiting noise traveling into the community.
