Irvine, Calif. (June 10, 2023) – A man has died after losing control of his vehicle.
Today, at 4:26 a.m., the Irvine Police Department (IPD) and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to reports of a single-vehicle traffic collision near the intersection of Barranca Parkway and Vertical.
The initial investigation shows the man was driving a maroon Lexus sedan eastbound on Barranca Parkway from Vertical when he lost control of the vehicle. The Lexus collided with three trees, a pole, and a fire hydrant before impacting with a fourth tree and stopping. OCFA personnel pronounced the man deceased at the scene. The driver has been identified as Tristan Thai Ngo, 20, of Lake Forest.
